Dry Eye Symptoms

- Are sensitive to light
- Are more watery than normal.
The reason dry eyes cause your eyes to be more watery than normal is because dry eyes can sometimes create too many tears. They do this in response to the lack of moisture – almost like a distress signal.
If you have dry eyes, you may also feel as though you have something in your eye. This is called a foreign body sensation.

You may be able to reduce dry eye symptoms by:

- Drinking less alcohol
- Taking contact lenses out when they’re
not needed - Eating a balanced diet

- Avoiding overexposure to heat or dry air
- Wearing sunglasses outside when appropriate
- Looking at computer screens less
